The science of
transcendence.

TranscendADHD brings together two world-class psychologists — united by a shared belief that the neurodivergent mind, properly understood, is not a deficit to manage but a potential to unlock.

Founder

Dr. Brent
Hogarth

As an athlete, psychologist, husband and father, Brent has achieved what success means to him. Along his journey, he learned — the hard way — that harsh self-criticism, although motivating short term, often leads to self-sabotage and suffering. Self-compassion, it turns out, is the real foundation of resilience and peak performance.

Dr. Brent utilizes neuroscience-backed approaches to help high-achievers break free from self-criticism — so they can finally arrive at both peak performance and lasting fulfilment. His intention with every client is to create change that lasts forever, by helping each person discover and master their unique game-changing skills.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Brent provides High Performance Mindset Coaching with the Finding Mastery team — working alongside some of the world's leading performers in sport, business, and the military.

"A good coach challenges you to uphold high standards and expectations — without sacrificing who you are in the process."

Partner & Scientific Advisor

Dr. Scott Barry
Kaufman

Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman is one of the world's leading authorities on the science of human potential, intelligence, and self-actualization. A professor of psychology at Columbia University and director of the Center for Human Potential, he is among the top 1% most cited scientists in the world for his research on intelligence and creativity.

His landmark book Transcend: The New Science of Self-Actualization reimagined Maslow's hierarchy of needs for the modern era — revealing what it truly means for a human being to flourish. His work on neurodiversity, twice-exceptional learners, and the deeply personal nature of intelligence has changed how clinicians, educators, and coaches understand the ADHD brain.

The author of 11 books and host of The Psychology Podcast — which has received over 30 million downloads — Dr. Kaufman's writing has appeared in The Atlantic, Scientific American, Psychology Today, and the Harvard Business Review. Steven Kotler has called him "our modern-day Maslow — a force for transformation."

At TranscendADHD, Dr. Kaufman brings the science of self-actualization directly into our assessment and coaching frameworks — ensuring that every client is met not as a diagnosis, but as a whole, complex, uniquely gifted human being with untapped potential.

"The ADHD brain is not broken. It is a different — and often extraordinary — architecture of human potential, waiting for the right conditions to flourish."

The partnership

Why these two
psychologists,
together.

Science

Grounded in the best research on human potential

Dr. Kaufman's self-actualization science and Dr. Hogarth's flow state research combine to give you the most evidence-based framework for ADHD performance available.

Identity

ADHD as a strength, not a sentence

Both psychologists have dedicated their careers to redefining what intelligence and potential look like — especially in minds that traditional systems failed to understand.

Practice

Theory that becomes daily action

The science of transcendence is only useful when it shows up in your actual life — in how you start your morning, manage your focus, and build toward what matters most.
